FIELD OF DREAMS!

Film historian Bruce Crawford will be presenting the 1989 baseball movie, “Field of Dreams," the film will be featured at his 46th tribute to classic films benefit. The event will be held at 7 p.m. on May 14th at the Omaha Community Playhouse, 6915 Cass St. The Hawks mainstage venue inside the Playhouse will be converted into a movie theater for the showing. The movie is widely regarded as one of the best sports films in the history of American cinema.  Dwier Brown who played the role of John Kinsella in the famous “wanna have a catch" scene will be a special guest at the event and will participate in a question and answer period with members of the audience. People who attend are encouraged to wear baseball uniforms or their favorite baseball team attire. Tickets are on sale for $25.00  each and can be purchased at the customer service counters of all Omaha-area Hy Vee food stores. Proceeds will benefit HELP Medical Equipment. All tickets are a non-refundable donation.

If it is after 4:00 on May 13, the remaining tickets will be sold at the door.  Doors open at 6 pm, and the event will begin at 7 p.m. Check in at the HELP table to purchase the tickets you need.
